The Sentinel: Great insane 70s horror film. Burgess Meredith is a dandy fop of a demon.
The Resurrected: Jack Shepherd’s dad from LOST in an adaptation of an HP Lovecraft tale. OK, great ending though.
Lifeforce: I watched Queen of Blood recently and was bored out of my mind. This is a much better version of that. That being hot space lady turns out to be a hot space vampire.
Session 9: This was just a wonderful tension building psychological horror movie. I’ve seen it on streaming for awhile. It looked like something I’d get creeped out by just based on the poster. I was right.
There was a lot that I enjoyed in David Wain’s Wanderlust.
But the end bugged the shit out of me.
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT PLOT POINTS BEING SPOILED IN A COMEDY.
It was one of those, ‘everything somehow works out in the end’ endings. Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston’s characters launch a small publishing company and have a huge hit with one of the commune member’s books. Admittedly, I don’t know a ton about publishing, but based on my knowledge, it doesn’t seem like a small PRINT publisher would have much luck launching these days let alone being instantly successful.
It really doesn’t matter. The movie had to end in some way.
Also, if you’d like to see Ray Liotta’s butt, then this movie is right up your alley.
3.5 Ray Liotta’s Butts out of 5 Ray Liotta’s Butts.
